Soooo much. That's what I'm writing to you about today. With an invite to welcome in grief and change in 2025, as a North Star that points towards what you love.

My Shifting Context

My beloved Carol Sanford, a leader in regenerative business for decades, died in November.

Carol prepared us for 2 years around conscious dying, and her question for us in her dying process was "What is your work to do now?"

The dying of the second largest reef in the world here in Puerto Morelos has been searing to see; the ongoing agony in the world due to wars and inhumanity...

All of this has activated me again to know that my work now is to support the emergence of economies that nurture life.

And then, just as I was getting rooted here in Mexico and beginning to discern my contribution in this Place, a recent death in my family requires me to return home to support my Beloved daughters who are facing not only the grief of loss, but also sudden tragic changes in their life trajectories. Grief for all of them, and this huge shift in plans derailed me for a few days.

But then I had a long call with a trusted treasured friend; and went for a long beach walk and swim, and Gaia showed me what I needed to re-member.

Accompanying myself, my daughters, and you - as we navigate personal, familial, ecological and global dying processes is a sacred honor.

It is not lost on me that I listened to Martin Prechtel's book "The Smell of Rain on Dust: Grief and Praise" on repeat in the past year. In it, he says:

Our Work Now

If we want our livelihoods to serve Life, I think in these times, we need to get really good at being with death and grief in ways that alchemize them into praise.

Because of this, when you work with me to discern your livelihood or start or grow your service-based regenerative biz, you don't have to show up shiny and "from the neck up".

I believe that your fullest service emerges from you attuning to

• Your Essence, and your ways of being and knowing.
• What is trying to emerge in the Lifesheds around us
• And how you can best serve in a way that nurtures the capabilities of humans, communities, and Lifesheds to continually regenerate themselves.

  ​By the end of the year, you know innovate and nurture a biz that serves Life.
  Your biz can then continue on the unfolding back of becoming the seed of a regerative biz ecosystem.
