A "bio" in service to LIFE!
Dear Friends,
In an email I sent you last month titled "Don't Compete. Cultivate!" I shared that I recently received a lovely invitation from Silvia DiBlasio and Della Duncan to participate as a guest speaker in their Cultivating Regenerative Right Livelihoods course.
In that process, I was requested to submit the usual bio and headshot.
I used it as a developmental opportunity--to stretch into thinking about our default expectations, and what paradigms give rise to them.
In other words, I asked myself:
"What's the world view underpinning the expectation that we validate ourselves by showcasing our professional credentials?"
"And how does that shape how we engage in our livelihoods and economies?"
And I also asked,
"What if I first ground into a 'regenerate life' paradigm, and then from there, discern how I want to introduce myself?"
I wrote about this process, which I at first called an "UNbio," and I wrote about it on my Medium account.
In the process, I got clear that I didn't want name what I don't want, but to name what I'm desiring to call in.
